Memristive Bionic Circuit Design of Episodic Memory Generation and Recall Related to Olfaction
The design of olfactory bionic circuits is an important part in brain-like intelligence. It has a wide application prospect in the fields of environmental monitoring, disaster warning and unmanned rescue. Episodic memory is an important memory pattern of human brain, which has a deep connection with olfaction. It is promising to study olfactory perception and episodic memory for brain-like perception and information processing in robots. Based on the olfactory perception mechanism and memristor, this work designs a bionic circuit of olfactory episodic memory generation and recall, which simulates the process of olfactory episodic memory generation and recall with the phenomenon of olfactory adaptation, which accords with the physiological connection between olfaction and episodic memory. The simulation results show that the circuit can simulate the process of generating and recalling episodic memory through olfaction, which lays a foundation for the robot to establish the correlation between sensory perception and memory.
