Self-Triggered Impulsive Control for Quasi-Synchronization of Nonlinear Systems with Application to Neural Networks

This paper addresses the quasi-synchronization problem in nonlinear systems by introducing a novel self-triggered impulsive control(STIC) strategy. Firstly, a new self-triggered control(STC) mechanism is proposed to establish the relationship between consecutive impulsive instants, allowing the timing of the next impulse to be predicted based on the previous one. Secondly, sufficient conditions for achieving quasi-synchronization are derived using a comparative system approach. Finally, the proposed design scheme is applied to the quasi-synchronization of neural networks(NNs). The STIC strategy presented in this paper eliminates the need for real-time state monitoring, significantly reducing communication costs and improving resource efficiency. A numerical example is provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
