Research on the Internal Information Monitoring of Reflective Optical Fiber SPR Sensor in Lead Acid Battery
The traditional battery monitoring methods mainly depends on the parameters such as voltage, current and resistance and other parameters, which cannot monitor the internal state of the battery in real-time, and is susceptible to electromagnetic interference. The optical fiber surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor, with its high sensitivity and anti-electromagnetic interference characteristics, can accurately monitor the battery and internal parameters. This paper presents a compact, portable, and easily integrated reflective optical fiber SPR sensor, which can dynamically monitor changes in electrolyte density in real-time, indirectly inferring the ionic concentration of the electrolyte to aid in analyzing the chemical reaction processes of the battery. The internal information monitoring system of lead-acid battery based on reflective optical fiber SPR sensor is built, which can realize real-time monitoring of the electrolyte density and charge and discharge process of lead-acid battery, facilitating data collection and analysis to further assess the battery's lifespan and maintenance needs. It provides an important system support for the subsequent early warning of related failures.
