Study of Specular and Non-Specular Reflection of Pyramidal Absorber Arrays
Microwave absorbers are usually designed to minimize specular reflection in a wide range of incident angles. However, new threats in stealth systems, especially multistatic radars, require redefining performance and studying not only specular but also non-specular reflections. Thus, this study focused on pyramidal arrays that could excite non-specular reflections together with absorption. The impact of periodicity and shape on the compromise between non-specular reflections/absorption is especially investigated.
