Theoretical Investigation of Radiative Decay Process in Low Energy N3++He Collision

Radiative decay cross sections for N3+ + He collision system are studied by employing optical-potential approach and semiclassical approach in the energy region from 0.1eV/u to 100eV/u. The ab initio multireference single and double excitation configuration interaction (MRDCI) method, with optimized atomic basis sets to accurately describe the excited states, has been employed to carry out the potentials and coupling data which required in the radiative decay cross sections and spectroscopic constant calculation. Based on the calculated radiative decay cross sections, reaction rate coefficients are studied for temperatures between 103 K and 109 K. It is found that the present optical-potential results for radiative decay process are consistent with the semiclassical results in the overlapping energy range.
