Temperature Sensing Based on Photoluminescence in CQDs/PVA Composites
In recent years, because carbon quantum dots (CQDs) was found to exhibit temperature-dependent photoluminescence(PL), they had received widespread attention in the field of temperature sensors. However, sensors based on CQDs are usually complicated to prepare or narrow in detection range, which limits the application of CQDs. In this study, a simple temperature sensing based on CQDs/PVA nanomaterials is constructed for detection in the range of 350~450k. In this study, a simple temperature sensing based on CQDs/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanomaterials was constructed, and CQDs were simply prepared by a hydrothermal method, and then a 10% concentration of PVA solution was added to form a composite thin film for detection in the range of 350~450k, and the PL properties of the composite thin film were investigated at this temperature. Calculated results show that the PL intensity ratio of the composite shows a linear relationship with the temperature, and the intensity becomes smaller when the temperature increases. Relative sensitivity of -0.544% k-1 can be achieved, and this study provides a new composite material for temperature sensors.
