Periodic Rebuilding Dynamics Induced by Collision and Rain of Stripe Solitons in a Mode-Locked Fiber Laser

The study of nonlinear dynamics in multi-soliton systems mainly concentrates on revealing the complex behaviors among multi-soliton, as well as the implications of soliton interactions on the characteristics of dynamic systems. This letter reports dynamic phenomenon induced by collision and rain of a unique soliton molecule (SM) in all fiber lasers based on nonlinear polarization rotation. Considering the temporal periodic modulated wavepackets and spectral feature, we infer that this soliton complex constitutes stripe soliton (SS). The specific periodic rebuilding observed in real-time spectra is related to the quasi-periodic repulsion and the devouring behaviors between SSs. These findings present the real-time interaction of SSs, which contributes to the comprehending of the soliton collision dynamics and further application on controlling multi-solitons.
