Protein biomass usage as B₁₂ vitamin source in feeds for layers
B₁₂ vitamin as cyanocobalamin is the necessary component of vitamin premixes and is included in these premixes based on 0.025 g/ton of feed. Microbial protein usage that is received with advanced microbial synthesis technology using can provide high vitamin B₁₂ content as methylcobalamin for fully cyanocobalamin substitution in poultry premixes depending on biomass cultivation parameters. There were proven experiments with layers that methylcobalamin inclusion in feed at 50 mg/ton provides comparable B₁₂ deposition in egg content during high production period.
