EDUCAR PARA PROTEGER: CONSTRUÇÃO DE UMA REVISTA INFANTIL SOBRE O ABUSO SEXUAL EM CRIANÇAS – RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA

ABSTRACT Child sexual violence is a serious violation of human rights and requires urgent attention from health professionals, especially in primary care. Given the importance of prevention and early identification of this type of violence, this study aims to report the experience of creating an educational children’s magazine aimed at children aged 4 to 10, focusing on recognizing signs of abuse and promoting self-care. This is an experience report, developed by students of the Nursing course at Centro Universitário Una Contagem, in the Curricular Unit “Comprehensive Health Care for Children and Adolescents”, in the second semester of 2024. The creation of the magazine followed guidelines for educational materials, using playful language, illustrations and interactive activities, such as games and coloring pages. The initiative sought to facilitate the approach of the topic with the child audience, encouraging children to take the lead in identifying risk situations. The experience demonstrated the potential of health education as a tool to combat child sexual violence and highlighted the importance of adapted teaching materials as a strategy to protect and promote rights. Keywords: Health Education; Nursing Students, Sexual Violence, Early Childhood Education.
