Antigenic activity research of recombinant reassortant vaccine against H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic bird influenza
Highly pathogenic bird influenza is a very dangerous zoonotic disease that causes significant damage to poultry industry brand. Specific preventive measure carrying out through flock immunization with inactivated vaccines is the most effective way of struggle with the disease. These vaccines effectiveness depends on antigenic match of vaccine and field influenza viruses. The more the match the higher the effectiveness. Reverse genetics method gives the possibility to receive quickly antigenic actual candidate strain for vaccine creation against HPAI. Recombinant strain A/Sytyktar/PR8/6:2/HA20 (H5N1) has been received with reverse genetics using in 2024 within the framework of the Russian Scientific Fund no. 24-76-10044. The researches have shown that vaccine with this strain is antigenic active and provides high antibodies titer in poultry immunized.
