ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM EM TRANSTORNO DO ESTRESSE PÓS-TRAUMÁTICO: ESTRATÉGIAS PARA O MANEJO INDIVIDUALIZADO, HUMANIZADO E QUALIFICADO
Introduction: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) has been described since antiquity and was studied more deeply during the World Wars. However, it goes beyond these historical contexts and can be associated with any traumatic experience. Populations exposed to high levels of violence and other issues are particularly vulnerable to developing PTSD. Justification: This study is justified by the importance of individualized, humane, and qualified nursing care for individuals with PTSD. Objective: To conduct a literature review focusing on nurses' role in strategies for individualized, humane, and qualified management. Methodology: Based on the guiding question: "What does the most recent literature say about strategies for individualized, humane, and qualified nursing management of post-traumatic stress disorder?", a literature review was conducted in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) using the descriptors: nursing; AND post-traumatic stress disorder; AND mental health. The final sample included 13 articles, Ordinance No. 336/2002, the HumanizaSUS Handbook (2015), and the National Humanization Policy (PNH, 2013). After full reading, these sources answered the guiding question and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusion: The text addresses Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), covering definitions, epidemiological data, and the assistance flow according to current legislation. It highlights the importance of nurses’ role in implementing individualized, humane, and high-quality strategies aligned with the National Humanization Policy (PNH). Additionally, it emphasizes the need for professional training to improve mental health care and patient management.
