Investigación, contexto y aplicaciones de la evaluación educativa. Una mirada del desarrollo científico en Latinoamérica

The objective was to know the research orientations, development context, advances and trends of educational evaluation in Latin America. It was a qualitative study, of systematic review with the content analysis technique of 54 scientific sources obtained from ScienceDirect, Redalyc, Scielo, Amelica, Dialnet, Scopus, Google Scholar, EBSCO and university repositories of the last 10 years. It was found that educational assessment is a complex object of study conceived as a process rather than as a tool. It occurs in dissimilar contexts, not static and dependent on the subject who evaluates, the subject evaluated and educational policies. The trends and challenges are oriented towards an educational evaluation based on open methodologies with formative purposes supported by ICT's and TAC's resources aimed at the concrete development of the student, of the teaching processes, of the institutions and of the educational systems in the societies in which they are inserted.
