The process of informatization of education actualizes the development of approaches to using the potential of ICT for the development of students' personality, increasing the level of creativity of their thinking, and forming the skills to develop a strategy for finding solutions to both educational and practical tasks. The purpose of the article: to theoretically substantiate the psychological and pedagogical features of the use of ICT in the training of telecommunications specialists. The following scientific research methods were applied: bibliographic analysis: comparison of existing approaches to the use of ICT in higher education; synthesis of analysis results; generalization method. The pedagogical conditions for the use of ICTs in the training of telecommunications technology specialists are highlighted: taking into account the educational needs, interests, attitudes of the personality of the future telecommunications specialist and the peculiarities of the cognitive style of students, that is, individual characteristics of thinking that are crucial for a person in the perception, processing and use of information. It is emphasized that the main task of organizing training, taking into account the cognitive style of students, is to change the profile and take into account the level of stylistic manifestations of students. In solving it, the teacher should not only create a comfortable learning situation but also develop opportunities, expand the range of ways of learning information, and improve their adaptation in the world around them, not just in the learning situation.
