IDEOLOGICAL CAMPAIGNS IN SOVIET HISTORICAL SCIENCE IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 1940S - 1950S AS AN "EVENT OF LIFE" B.G. MOGILNITSKY

The article is devoted to the biographical reconstruction of the life and work of B.G. Mogilnitsky in the social and activity context of ideological campaigns in Soviet historical science at Tomsk State University in the second half of the 1940s - 1950s. Ideological campaigns are considered as an “event in the life” of B.G. Mogilnitsky, i. e. as a significant context for his formation and development as a person and historian, on the one hand, and as a way of active expression, on the other. A conclusion is made that behind the forms of Soviet ideological “uniformity” there were hidden a variety of “alternative” understandings of the campaigns being conducted, which did not always have an “oppositional” character, as was emphasized in “post-Soviet historiography”.
