Notes on the little studied Iberian endemic Dyschirius breviphthalmus Balkenohl & Lompe, 2003 (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Dyschiriini)
Dyschirius breviphthalmus is the only known endemic of the genus Dyschirius in the Iberian Peninsula so far. In this work, D. breviphthalmus is redescribed and illustrated including the male and female genitalia. The habitat and other living conditions are extensively characterized, and some aspects such as behaviour and potential distribution are discussed. The accompanying Cicindelidae and Carabidae species collected with D. breviphthalmus in 2023 and 2024 are listed.
