PLANO DE AÇÃO PARA AUMENTO DA COBERTURA DO EXAME CITOPATOLÓGICO DO COLO UTERINO NO MUNICÍPIO DE CANTANHEDE-MA
In the city of Cantanhede-MA, in 2011, there were 149 collections of material for exam cervical cytology (or Papanicolau), covering the age range from 25 to 59 years old, according to data obtained from the website of DATASUS. The estimated resident female population in the same year was 3.277. The Ministry of Health has stipulated a Meta Brazil for the biennium 2010-2011 of 0.20 (2010) and 0.23 (2011) exams / female / year for the age group between 25 to 59 years, however the reason for this location stood at 0.045 tests / female / year 2011, or well below the national target. The periodic achievement exam papanicolau is an important stage in the early detection of precursor lesions of the cancer cervix. Much of Brazilian municipalities, mainly in the North and Northeast, have no satisfactory population coverage of women able to perform the test, and as a result, the early diagnosis and treatment becomes impaired, not occurring reducing rates of morbidity and mortality caused by the disease . Given the above, this work aims to create an action plan to be developed in the city to mobilize women aged 25 to 59, or more, to take the examination for cervical cancer prevention.
