O PAPEL DO ENFERMEIRO NO ENFRENTAMENTO DA BRONQUITE VIRAL AGUDA

Acute viral bronchitis is a prevalent respiratory condition that affects millions of individuals globally. It is characterized by inflammation of the bronchial tubes, resulting in symptoms such as coughing, mucus production, and respiratory distress.Nurses play a pivotal role in the care of patients with bronchitis, particularly through comprehensive health education. It is crucial to provide clear guidance on the proper use of prescribed medications, including the appropriate administration of antibiotics when indicated, and to emphasize the importance of seeking medical assistance in cases of dyspnea. This study, employing a bibliographic and qualitative methodology, aims to underscore the significance of nursing practice in the management of acute viral bronchitis. The findings indicate that this condition is both frequent and influenced by viral agents and environmental factors. Nurses are central to its prevention and clinical management, contributing through the systematization of care, health promotion strategies, and ongoing patient monitoring. In this context, the role of the nurse is reaffirmed as essential in the management of respiratory health, ensuring effective, compassionate, and humanized care for the population.
