The role of genetic factors in the development of tuberculosis relapse
Tuberculosis remains a global problem for health, with substantial rates of mortality worldwide. This literature review examines the current progress in studying polymorphisms associated with tuberculosis susceptibility, including genome studies. It was also addressed how these findings align with genetic polymorphisms that are associated with resistance to developing tuberculosis. Despite the progress, there is insufficient data on the role of genetic factors in the development of tuberculosis relapse, highlighting the need for further investigations.
