Green Synthesis of Ag-TiO2 -SiO2 Nanocomposite using Azadirachta indica Leaf Extract and Evaluation of Biological Activities
Green synthesis of nanoparticle (NP) is now a well-known method for the preparation of NPs because it is simple, low cost, environmentally friendly, and nontoxic technique. Metal-based nanoparticles are being use as antimicrobial and antioxidant agents and silver, titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide NPs have attracted the attention of the researchers. In current study, combination of aforementioned nanoparticles in the form of ternary nanocomposite (TNCs) has been synthesized using a green method approach. Green synthesis of Ag-SiO2-TiO2 was carried out using “Azadirachta indica” leaf extract. Synthesized TNCs was characterized using several methods such as FTIR, SEM, UV-visible spectrophotometry. The results of UV-Visible and FTIR analysis confirmed the formation of TNCs and SEM indicated the particle size ranging from 30-55 nm. Synthesized TNCs was tested for its antibacterial and antioxidant potential. Results of biological activities confirmed antibacterial and antioxidant potential of the TNCs. Preparation of TNCs using green method can be suggested on the basis of the current study.
