Providing medicines to the population is one of the main tasks of the state, as medicines play a key role in curative and preventive medicine. The pharmaceutical market in Kyrgyzstan is 97% import-dependent, and only 3% is accounted for by local manufacturers, which strongly affects accessibility. Rational pharmacotherapy in private clinics directly depends on foreign pharmaceutical manufacturers.
