A study determining the prevalence of varicose vein Amongst the nurses in a rural population : a survey study
Varicose veins are dilated, swollen veins, typically affecting the legs and appearing green, dark blue, or purple. Occupational factors, such as prolonged standing and muscle contraction, are key contributors to chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). Nurses, due to the physical demands of their profession, are particularly at risk for developing varicose veins.
