Models of effective agribusiness management: organizational mechanisms and economic indicators.

Ukraine’s agribusiness sector is a cornerstone of the national economy, integrating agricultural production, processing, logistics, and trade. This article investigates models of efficient agribusiness management, focusing on organizational structures and economic indicators that bolster the sector’s global competitiveness. It evaluates diverse management frameworks, including Ukraine’s labor-intensive model, the technology-centric American approach, and the precision-oriented Japanese-German system. The study underscores the importance of cooperatives, public-private partnerships, and inclusive strategies that empower small-scale producers by connecting them to broader market networks. The adoption of digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, IoT, and automated systems, is transforming agribusiness management, driving operational efficiency, transparency, and environmental sustainability. However, reliance on traditional paper-based administration in many enterprises hampers decision-making, resource allocation, and market responsiveness. Data-driven adaptive management systems address these limitations, fostering resilience and adaptability in volatile economic and climatic conditions. Economic metrics, including agriculture’s 7.4% share of GDP in 2024, yield levels, and export contributions, highlight the sector’s pivotal role in Ukraine’s economy. State-backed initiatives, such as subsidized loans and digital transformation policies, are critical for modernization. The article also explores the social responsibility of agribusiness, which encompasses community support, environmental conservation, and charitable efforts. To enhance management practices, the study recommends accelerating digitalization, promoting cooperative models, adopting adaptive systems, and scaling inclusive approaches. These initiatives aim to increase productivity, strengthen global market integration, and ensure the long-term sustainability of Ukraine’s agribusiness sector.
