Atomic-level insights into the highly conductive lithium thio-phosphate solid electrolytes with exceptional stability against lithium metal

Novel Li 7 PS 2 , Li 5 PS, Li 8 P 2 S and Li 11 P 3 S electrolytes exhibit ionic conductivities comparable to the superionic conductor Li 7 P 3 S 11 , yet, unlike Li 7 P 3 S 11 , which rapidly forms an SEI layer, they demonstrate superior stability against Li metal anodes.

Abstract

Novel Li 7 PS 2 , Li 5 PS, Li 8 P 2 S and Li 11 P 3 S electrolytes exhibit ionic conductivities comparable to the superionic conductor Li 7 P 3 S 11 , yet, unlike Li 7 P 3 S 11 , which rapidly forms an SEI layer, they demonstrate superior stability against Li metal anodes.
