Mentoring as an effective factor of influence on the development of the educational space
The article is devoted to the consideration of mentoring as an important element of modern higher education, which contributes to the training of socially competent and competitive specialists. Mentoring is an important tool for the formation of professional competencies, the development of personal qualities and social adaptation of young specialists. In Ukraine and abroad, mentoring programs are actively used to increase the academic success of students, their professional growth and preparation for career challenges. Mentoring in higher education acts as a process of support and transfer of experience by experienced specialists (mentors) to less experienced individuals (mentees). An important aspect of mentoring is the individualization of learning and the development of abilities that meet professional requirements. The article analyzes different types of mentoring: pedagogical, peer and soft mentoring, each of which plays an important role in the development of young specialists. Important principles of effective mentoring are trust, an individual approach, active listening, feedback and respect for the personality of the mentee. Special attention is paid to the mentor's professional profile, which includes professional, pedagogical, communicative and organizational skills, as well as moral and ethical qualities. This allows mentors to effectively organize the educational process, provide support to students and promote their professional and personal development. Studies confirm that the implementation of mentoring programs in higher education institutions contributes to improving the quality of education, ensures the integration of students into the professional environment and the development of their competencies.
