The lyrical speaker in Nima Yushij’s poems “Pale Colour’s Story” (1921) and “Afsane” (1922)
The article deals with the problem of the lyrical speaker displayed in the texts of Iran’s “New Poetry” founder – Nima Yushij (1897-1960). The material for the study are the author’s two first poems “Pale Colour’s Story” (1921) and “Afsane” (1922), which are chronologically and ideologically related to each other. The article proves that both poems demonstrate a self-psychological lyrical speaker. Nima’s lyrics and lyroepics reflect the development of post-traditional type of artistic conscious. The lyrical speaker reveals the peculiarities of the artistic structure of these texts. The aim of the study is to define the relationship between the semantic level of the text structure and the specificity of poetic language by the sample of lyric speaker’s type. The scientific novelty of the research is based on the analysis of the subject organisation of these poems, and the specifiс features of “lyric-I” in Nima Yushij’s classic and semi-classic poems were revealed and related to the process of individual artistic conscious formation. This aspect is considered for the first time. The study stated that the self-psychological lyrical speaker, whose dynamic feelings are described with particular accuracy, forces the author to search for a new poetic form that can optimally express his idea.
