Invasive Fungal Sinusitis: Observational Study And Our Experience
Chronic invasive fungal sinusitis is a strange peculiar disease of the paranasal sinuses due to its rarity, patient subset, and course. We describe 5 cases of histopathological confirmed with different treatment plans and varying outcomes. Note was that all these patients developed allergic fungal rhinosinusitis lead towards primary invasive disease, a finding that has never been reported in the literature. Patient had an atypical fungal species (Aspergillus nodulins) on fungal stain and culture, while no one had history of immunodeficient state. We also present a review of the pertinent literature investigating this rare disease.
