Boundary layer problem and combined limits of the flow for a chemically reacting gaseous mixture

In this paper, we consider a multidimensional model for the flow of chemically reacting gaseous mixture and investigate the combined quasineutral and inviscid limits in a domain with boundary. The approximate solutions of the model are constructed by analyzing the boundary layer characteristics and utilizing the multi-scale asymptotic expansion method. The nonlinear stability of the boundary layer approximations is also established by a conormal energy estimate.

Abstract

In this paper, we consider a multidimensional model for the flow of chemically reacting gaseous mixture and investigate the combined quasineutral and inviscid limits in a domain with boundary. The approximate solutions of the model are constructed by analyzing the boundary layer characteristics and utilizing the multi-scale asymptotic expansion method. The nonlinear stability of the boundary layer approximations is also established by a conormal energy estimate.
