SOURCE STUDIES CHARACTER OF ORIENTAL SCIENCE AND DIRECTIONS AND OBJECTIVES OF STUDYING ARABIC SOURCES IN KAZAKHSTAN
The purpose of the article is to determine the nature of the development of source studies in the context of the transformation of modern scientific knowledge and methods. It is known that source studies are traditionally considered a historical science, since history and archeology in their methodology consider primary sources as the main material. At the same time, starting from the last quarter of the twentieth century, as in other scientific fields, new approaches and concepts began to penetrate into source studies. Sources began to introduce new information in addition to the humanities and into the content of natural sciences, providing them with useful data. Indications of these changes in source studies are important for orientalists, since this opens up opportunities for new experience and subsequent research. The study of texts in oriental languages always remains relevant for Kazakhstani oriental studies. In Soviet times, research in this area was hampered by many factors, including the difficulty of access to the sources themselves, a shortage of specialists, etc. The study of various texts in Arabic that are significant for the medieval history of the Kazakh people has always remained a pressing task for Kazakhstani source studies. The article examines and structures the scientific and methodological aspects of these issues. As a result of the study, conclusions were made about the need for effective use of innovations offered to modern science by information technologies and in source studies, which requires training specialists with special knowledge in this area.
