Marx’s Thought of “Real People” in The German Ideology and Its Contemporary Value

Marx first systematically expounded the thought of “real people” in The German Ideology. This thought is an important cornerstone of Marxist philosophy and the core content of historical materialism. This article explores Marx’s thought of “real people” from three aspects: its theoretical sources, main content, and contemporary value. By analyzing its theoretical sources, this article reveals its philosophical foundation and ideological context; elaborates on its main content to clarify the spiritual essence and ideological connotations of “real people”; and combines with contemporary social reality to explore its value in social development, personal development, and global governance. The study finds that Marx’s thought of “real people” not only provides a scientific basis for understanding the development of human society but also offers profound theoretical inspiration for many contemporary social issues.
