Depending of meat and slaughter traits of young pigs on feeding conditions during the rearing period

It is well known that the growth rate of an animal depends on the level of feeding. However, the diets used in farms do not always satisfy the body’s needs for biologically active substances. That is why the issues of increasing the fattening and meat traits of pigs depending on the feeding conditions during the rearing period remain extremely relevant. The purpose of the work was to determine the dependence of meat and slaughter traits of young pigs on feeding conditions during the rearing period. The studies were carried out under the conditions of industrial technology of the pig complex Vostochny LLC in the Udmurt Republic. N order to reduce the cost of pig production, an experiment was conducted on rearing pigs by changing the feeding scheme for young animals. In the control group, young animals during rearing received PCF-3 (Pigs Compound Feed) compound feed from the moment of weaning to 45 days of life, then from 46 to 65 days they were transferred to PCF-4, at the fi nal stage of feeding during the rearing period, young animals consumed PCF-5 until the moment of transfer to the fattening site. Pigs of the 1st and 2nd experimental groups were fed PCF-4 from the moment of weaning to 65 days during rearing, and piglets of the 1st experimental group were transferred to PCF-5 from the age of 66 days, and those of the 2nd experimental group were transferred to PCF-6 until the moment of transferring the livestock for fattening. The results on obtained on experimental base during the research, in order to improve the fattening and meat traits of young pigs under the conditions of industrial technology of the pig complex of Vostochny LLC in the Zavyalovsky district of the Udmurt Republic, it is recommended to use compound feed PCF-4 during the rearing period of young pigs from 28 to 65 days, and compound feed PCF-5 from 66 to 80 days.
