ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE OF USING LABORATORY WORK WITH SMALL QUANTITIES IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY PRACTICE
The article discusses one of the possible ways of developing laboratory practical work in organic chemistry at the technological university in order to bring it in line with modern requirements. It is revealed that the educational practical work in its current state does not sufficiently prepare students, including for research related to establishing the relationships between the properties of organic substances and their chemical structure. In order to solve this problem, laboratory practical work using small amounts of substances were developed and tested in the educational process. In the first one nitrosation of phenols (unsubstituted phenol and brominated phenol) is carried out, showing the dependence of properties on their structure. The next two ones show the trends in changing the acidity of alcohols and phenols, the fourth one shows the dependence of the nucleophilic substitution reaction on the structure of the substrate using the example of substitution of the hydroxyl group in alcohols...
