Understanding Role of Psychological Determinants In Quality of Life Among Type 2 Diabetes Patients

The current cross-sectional correlational study sought to investigate the association between psychological determinants and Quality of Life (QoL) in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) patients. The sample of 514 individuals from hospitals in three cities in District Gujrat (Gujrat, Kharian, and Lalamusa). Data were gathered using various tools, including the Diabetes Quality of Life Scale (Haider et al., 2022) and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (Hussain & Gulzar, 2020). The study found a substantial negative relationship between quality of life and psychological factors (depression, anxiety, and stress). Future research across broader, more diverse populations in Pakistan is advised to enable for a more expanded exploration of the relationship of psychological factors, and quality of life.
