A Parallel Corpus of Activity Verbs in Four Languages

The article presents the development of a fourlanguage parallel corpus with illustrative examples of the use of activity predicates. We discuss the stages involved in its creation, including the selection of verbs and texts from which examples are extracted, their processing, and the annotation of the examples with information about the realisation of the predicates’ semantic arguments.
