Application of continuous improvement models and their influence on the company's competitiveness
Increasing global competition is forcing organizations to implement new organizational and production techniques to remain competitive and improve their market position. The use of models, tools, and techniques for continuous improvement of business processes has become an opportunity and an effective strategy to achieve this goal. In this context, this paper aims to show the impact of the model of continuous improvement of business processes on the improvement of the overall organizational performance, and therefore a better competitive position. The hypothesis formulated in the study states that continuous improvement of business processes has a direct impact on company competitiveness. The hypothesis was tested on dairy industry enterprises in the Republic of Serbia. The research was conducted on a stratified sample, which ensured that the aggregated data had adequate significance and representativeness. Using a guided interview based on the Delphi method, data was collected, which was then processed based on Spearman's rank correlation as a non-parametric alternative to Pearson's correlation. The results of the research presented in this paper support the confirmation of the hypothesis that the continuous improvement of business processes directly affects the competitiveness of the company.
