Robust Tuning of DC Microgrids Control System Virtual Parameters in Presence of Constant Power Load
The increasing demand for reliable, high-quality energy, and the negative impact of fossil fuel usage, necessitate the investment in infrastructure development and modernization of energy production systems. These factors have accelerated the shift to renewable energy sources. In the presence of renewable energy resources in microgrid, the overall inertia of the system is reduced. This paper addresses the issue of the lake of inertia in DC microgrids. The proposed solution focuses on improving dynamic performance in DC microgrids with constant power loads. Control coefficients are systematically tuned considering uncertainties and disturbances, and a robust control structure is designed to improve stability. The research employs Kharitonov's theorem for coefficient tuning and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to optimize the obtained solutions. Simulations have been carried out in MATLAB /Simulink environment to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
