Maximizing Generation Effectiveness by Integrated Renewable Energy Sources: Syncing Residential Demand Patterns with Shared Energy Storage
Power systems' optimal functioning is crucial for operators, especially with the increasing penetration of renewable energy sources (RES). RES is intermittent and variable, with load variations and nonlinear limitations exacerbated by its scope. This research presents a method to enhance the management of optimum generation and carbon emissions costs of conventional power plants by combining wind farms with battery energy storage. This improvement considers costs incurred by traditional units relying on fossil fuels and carbon emissions expenditures. The simulation includes five conventional generating sources and home load users, and the results show a significant increase in power plant generation schedule optimization with the new issue formulation.
