Design and Implementation of Generalized Multilevel Inverter with Reduced Switch Count
In an effort to generate a sinusoidal voltage of superior quality and with minimal THD, MLIs are implemented. Although the MLI idea was introduced with certain traditional structures, the inverter's size and cost increased due to these structures' drawbacks, which included low THD and a large quantity of circuit devices. With a small quantity of switches, the suggested MLI can get around these restrictions. The suggested structure features fewer switching devices, drivers, and total standing voltage (TSV) than MLI architectures, according to a comparison and analysis. An enhanced T - Type inverter is what the suggested construction is. The suggested construction combines an H-bridge with nine levels with a T-Type inverter. Two symmetrical diodes are included in a T - Type inverter that makes up the upgraded T-Type structure. Comparing the suggested structure to different structures demonstrates its advantages. The experimental findings using pulse width modulation (PWM) and varying loads are finally shown.
