Respiratory Pattern Variability Assessment Using Doppler Radar
Respiratory process has a complex variability that can reflect the fundamental mechanisms of generating respiratory patterns, influence of emotion, association of cortical neuronal networks and may hold important physiologic and/or diagnostic information. This paper focuses on studying the capability of Doppler radar in assessing the respiration pattern variability (RPV) with a comprehensive reference of marker based Infrared camera system. The results show that RPV assessment using radar is in good agreement with those measured at various points of the torso using the infrared camera system.
