MMC-based Flexible Distributed Energy Resources Structure for AC Microgrids
Modular Multilevel Converters (MMCs) in microgrids provide an efficient solution for decentralized power systems, offering high flexibility and stability. MMCs improve power quality by reducing harmonic distortion and are ideal for integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage, and sensitive loads. Their precise power control and ability to handle load variations make them a key technology for enhancing microgrid performance. The chosen algorithm is the droop power-sharing method, which is a widely used technique for power distribution in microgrids. The implementation and simulation of this method will be carried out in the PLEXIM software environment.
