Research on structural analysis and improvement of telescope for space gravitational wave detection
Space gravitational wave is an interesting cosmic phenomenon. Detecting and monitoring it will help scientists know the universe better. There are two projects in China to detect the space gravitational wave. One is named as Taiji, the other is named as TianQin. The paper focused on telescope of satellite in TianQin project. The telescope for space gravitational wave detection is an important component, which will significantly affect the effectiveness of space gravitational wave detection. The paper got initial structural design based on optical design of five-mirror system. According to initial structural analysis, some problems were found. In order to improve performance of the telescope, some improvement work was done. Auxiliary supports were added in the initial structure. What’s more, lightweight design of primary reflective mirror was made, which could reduce the weight of entire telescope. After that, the new structural analysis was made. According to its use environment, different types of structural analysis were made carefully. The result showed that the improved structure was safe and viable. Compared with the initial one, improved structure had better characteristics.
