Landing Position Detection and Array Coil Matching of Multi-UAVs Wireless Power Transfer System
Addressing the challenges of inadequate misalignment tolerance and simultaneous charging for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in wireless power transfer (WPT), this paper proposes an array-based wireless charging platform that incorporates a two-step search strategy for position detection and coil matching to ensure operational efficiency. The position detection employs a logarithmic search algorithm, while a fuzzy control-greedy algorithm-based method is utilized for further coil matching. The platform features a reconfigurable array capable of generating an omnidirectional rotating magnetic field and suppressing output fluctuations, specifically tailored to the structural and charging requirements for UAVs. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed strategy can accurately realize UAV position detection and coil matching under large-scale array platform, with a reduced number of search times, achieving an efficiency of 83.13% for simultaneous charging of two UAVs, indicating its potential for multi-UAVs WPT applications.
