Advances in the next-generation infrared high-quantitative multi-spectral imager technology

The "Beautiful China" initiative and the dual carbon goals (carbon peaking and carbon neutrality) have created an urgent demand for high-resolution, high-precision space-based optical remote sensing applications. The next-generation high-precision quantitative infrared multi-spectral imager is primarily designed for applications in environmental monitoring, urban planning and illegal construction monitoring, agricultural production monitoring, and emergency management. This payload features a high-resolution visible and infrared integrated design, incorporating a Φ1.4m mirror in the front optics to enhance light collection capabilities and a Φ300mm cryogenic lens in the rear optics to suppress wide-field infrared background radiation. The payload employs a multi-field-of-view design for synergistic detection of optical, short-medium wave, and long-wave spectral bands. The short-medium wave and long-wave detectors utilize five-spectra and four-spectra integration, respectively, to achieve high-integration 8K linear array detection. Key advancements include the development of a 3m high-stability C/SiC mount structure, ton-scale high-load damping truss systems, high-performance large-size onboard blackbodies for radiometric calibration, and large-scale high-reliability long-linear array infrared detectors. Major technical breakthroughs have been achieved, with product development and delivery expected by the early 15th Five-Year Plan period in China.
