Design of cascaded microfluidic chip for inertial sorting of atmospheric aerosol particles
Atmospheric aerosol particulate matter is widely present in the fields of atmospheric environment, industrial emissions, etc., and its physical and chemical characteristics such as particle size, chemical composition and concentration affect air quality, climate effects and human health through complex mechanisms. It is an important research object of environmental science and public health. In the relevant research on atmospheric aerosol particulate matter, accurately identifying their composition characteristics and efficiently sorting particulate matter of different particle sizes have become a key issue that needs to be solved urgently. To achieve this goal, this paper designs a cascaded microfluidic chip for aerosol particle sorting based on the principle of inertial sorting, and realizes sorting of different particle sizes by optimizing the microchannel geometry and flow control. The results show that the cascaded microfluidic chip structure has significant advantages over the single-stage structure in terms of particle sorting efficiency, accuracy and continuity, providing new ideas for the refined extraction of atmospheric aerosol particles and component analysis.
