A characterization of abelian $$C^*$$-algebras in terms of strong Birkhoff-James orthogonality

Abstract We present a characterization of abelian $$C^*$$ C ∗ -algebras among all $$C^*$$ C ∗ -algebras in terms of strong Birkhoff-James orthogonality.
