A comparative study of web frontend reactivity
This paper analyzes the reactivity mechanisms in Vue.js across its two primary versions: Options API (Vue 2) and Composition API (Vue 3). The authors investigated the transition from the Object.defineProperty model to Proxy and its effects on flexibility, modularity, and development performance. The study identifies the key advantages of Proxy, including support for dynamic properties and improved handling of complex application states. The experiments demonstrate that Vue 3 achieves significantly better rendering performance compared to Vue 2. The paper also presents the challenges of migrating between versions and offers insights into the practical adoption of the Composition API in large-scale applications.
