Evolution of random light beam disorder in oceanic turbulence
This study explores the evolution of disorder characteristics in random light beams propagating through oceanic turbulence, using information entropy theory. The results show that oceanic turbulence increases the disorder of random light beams. However, these beams exhibit an inherent ability to reduce disorder during propagation, thereby improving beam quality. Notably, lowering the coherence of the beam significantly enhances its capacity to mitigate turbulence-induced disorder. Furthermore, the relationship between oceanic turbulence parameters and the disorder characteristics of light beams is clarified, providing a robust theoretical foundation and new research perspectives for ocean optical communications and underwater detection.
