Design Study of Assistive Rehabilitation Products for Mild to Moderate KOA Based on the KJ-AHP-TOPSIS Model
Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a degenerative joint disease affecting the knee. According to investigations, the disease is not only prevalent among the elderly, but its incidence among younger individuals is also increasing year by year, causing significant distress to families and society. Furthermore, KOA requires continuous treatment, which entails considerable financial and time-related costs. To reduce these costs while ensuring effective treatment, it is essential to design an assistive rehabilitation product that meets users needs. This study constructs a product design model integrating the KJ, AHP, and TOPSIS methods, conducts a demand survey of KOA users, and identifies key user requirements. The KJ method is used to encode and categorize the collected user needs. An index system hierarchy model is then established using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the weight of each user requirement factor. These indicator parameters are translated into design elements, forming an evaluation model for KOA assistive rehabilitation product design. The final product is optimized based on this model to meet user demands effectively.
