We believe that The Lexical Atlas of the Samara Dialects published in 2021 is a highly prominent scholarly work and a proper continuation of the tradition of linguogeographic description of the Volga region dialects. In our completely favourable review we give a brief outline of the historical context in which the Atlas was conceived, a short description of its structure, and the evaluation of the contribution of this work to Russian dialect studies and dialect lexicology.
