Encyclopedia of Modern Economic Thought: Voronov Yu.P. “Nobel Laureates in Economics”

In 2024, a two-volume monograph by Yu.P. Voronov titled Nobel Laureates in Economics was published. This is the sixth edition of the monograph, which has been regularly expanded and updated. Previously, information about the third edition was published in a journal, where Voronov's high level of scientific-popular presentation of modern economic theories and the scientific contributions of Nobel laureates in economics was noted. In the discussed sixth edition, not 33 but all 55 Nobel Prizes are covered, starting from the first prize in 1969 up to the 2023 prize. Since some years saw two or three recipients, the number of laureates discussed reaches 93. This article pays particular attention to three Nobel laureates from Russia, the works of Russian economists of the early 20th century, and the issue of reviving the level of economic thought in modern Russia, which may be facilitated by this published monograph. A brief description of the author is also provided.
