Lawrence’s classic novel Women in Love—the earliest one translated by Hei Ma in 1994 and the latest one translated by Feng Jiqing in 2014. Based on Lin Yutang’s three principles of translation, this study comparatively analyzes the characteristics of the two versions in terms of content, expression, and style. It aims to enhance readers’ understanding of Lin Yutang’s translation principles and provide insights for future translations of the novel.
